The Burke County Board of Education is moving forward with plans to construct a new elementary school in the eastern part of the county. During their annual planning session held on May 5 and 6, board members decided to include a resolution to purchase a 10.06-acre plot in Hildebran for $675,000, adjacent to the current Hildebran Elementary School.
