The North Carolina School for the Deaf (NCSD) held its Senior Night honoring senior athletes during the NCSD Bears Boy Basketball team on Thursday, Jan. 16.
The team faced off against Virginia School for the Deaf’s (VSDB) Fox Defenders.
NCSD Senior Athletes honored were:
E. Elliott of Co-ed Soccer, Wrestling, and Statistician for Boys Basketball Teams
M. Harrell of NCSD Co-ed Soccer and Cheerleading Team
J. Johnson of NCSD Co-ed Soccer, Boys Basketball, and Wrestling Teams
C. Tellez of NCSD Co-ed Soccer, Team Manager for the Wrestling and Basketball Teams
I. Vaughn of Co-ed Soccer and Boys Basketball Teams
During the Senior Night event, Emily Elliott was crowned as the 2025 Homecoming Queen by Sandy Turner, Chair of the Board of Trustees at the North Carolina School for the Deaf, during the halftime ceremony.
The NCSD Bears won the basketball game with a score of 52-33.
