CoMMA Performing Arts Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a 2026-27 MainStage season featuring Broadway shows, comedy, symphonic performances, bluegrass, tribute acts and family programming.
The downtown Morganton venue announced a 13-show MainStage lineup, calling the season a celebration of four decades of live entertainment in Burke County.
“This season reflects the variety, quality, and excitement that audiences have come to expect from CoMMA, while celebrating four decades of unforgettable performances,” CoMMA Events Manager Amber Austin said.
All MainStage shows will begin at 7 p.m., a new standard start time this year.
The season includes Spirit of New Orleans with The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra; comedian Kevin Nealon; Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra; Western Piedmont Symphony; Pianomania; Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles; Waitress; Lonesome River Band; Eastwood by Eastwood; The Simon & Garfunkel Story; Legally Blonde: The Musical; Randy Travis & The Original Randy Travis Band with guest vocalist James Dupré; and Western Piedmont Symphony: Shaken, Not Stirred — The Music of James Bond.
Season packages go on sale Monday, July 13, for $450 plus tax and include all 13 MainStage performances. Single-event tickets go on sale Aug. 10 at noon.
CoMMA also will continue its FamilyStage Series, with performances by storyteller Donna Washington, magician Jeki Yoo and The Barter Players. FamilyStage tickets are $13 plus tax.
The CoMMA box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before performances. More information is available at commaonline.org or 828-433-7469.
