Meet Willie, a sweet neutered 2-year-old pup with a gentle soul. He can be a little timid at first, but once he feels safe, his soft personality shines through. Willie is dog-friendly, affectionate, and so ready to leave the shelter behind for a calm, loving forever home where he can finally relax and blossom.
Burke Animal Resource Center is at 425 Kirksey Drive, Morganton. The shelter is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The phone number is 828-764-9588.
All dog and puppy adoptions are $40; cat and kitten adoptions are $20. All adoptions include spay/neuter, a one-year rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), standard core preventative vaccines, a monthly flea preventative, and dewormer as needed.
