After the storm has passed

A good, old-fashioned, frog-strangler of a thunderstorm moved through Morganton late on the afternoon of May 16.  The streets were rapidly turned into streaming rivers of water and the thunder shook the ground. But, after the storm had passed, city residents were presented with a spectacular rainbow to the south, stretching from horizon to horizon.
