Several years ago, a case was brought before the Roberts Court that had an effect on the 1965 Voting Rights Act signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson.
The court came to a decision that helped chip away some of the provisions established in that law.
In his infinite wisdom, Chief Justice Roberts wrote in his consenting opinion that racism in the United States was pretty much over with.
Evidently, Justice Roberts did not see President Donald Trump’s latest meme last week on “Truth (or Liars) Social.”
This meme, that the bigot in chief posted, depicted former President Obama and his wife Michelle as apes. Perhaps the Chief Justice misspoke because Trump has been a racist his entire career.
Trump started his political career with the advent of Birtherism and then he was off to the races.
Every time that Trump does or says something despicable or odious, it seems that he cannot go any lower, but his behavior seems to be a bottomless pit.
