Devan Berry, advertising and marketing coordinator for The Paper, has been named the Burke County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Month for January.
Berry’s honor was announced by Chamber President and CEO Tonia Stephenson.
The Chamber’s Ambassador Program is designed to increase the Chamber’s visibility in the community and to give local business leaders the opportunity to get to know each other better and to build networks of support.
“The Ambassador Program has been a great opportunity for me,” Berry said. “It’s exciting to help with the ribbon cuttings for new businesses and to basically spread the message of the Chamber to the community.”
Berry said being a Chamber Ambassador has been an invaluable experience for her as she grows more familiar with the Burke County business community.
“All of the Chamber staff have been just great to work with,” said Berry. “Volunteering as an ambassador pushed me to meet people I otherwise would not have met and to learn more about what’s happening in our county.”
Berry, a Burke County native, is a resident of Morganton. She is a 2015 graduate of Patton High School and received her bachelor of science degree from Appalachian State University in 2021 with a major in interior design.
