Cemetery Picnic

Step back in time for a unique and charming picnic experience at a local historic cemetery with gravestones as early as 1767. We will pay tribute to the Victorian Era and foster a deeper appreciation for the value of remembering loved ones.  During the 19th century snacking in cemeteries happened across the United States. Since many municipalities still lacked proper recreational areas, many people had full-blown picnics in their local cemeteries. The tombstone-laden fields were the closest things, then, to modern-day public parks.
